Even the best data are only as useful as the stories they tell. Which is why it’s so important for leaders to understand how to use visualizations to communicate their arguments persuasively and faithfully. Professor Steve Franconeri leads a team of researchers who explore how our powerful visual system processes information. According to Franconeri, there are few strict rules to creating the perfect graph, figure, chart, or illustration—but there are plenty of best practices. Join us for a discussion about how to use visuals to make the point you actually want to make—and avoid using (or being fooled by) techniques that mislead and deceive.

Networking can feel awkward and forced during a pandemic. It’s hard to meet in person. And, if you do, should you be drinking through a straw underneath your mask to be safe? Does that then burn your tongue and defeat the whole purpose? Can you understand someone as their mask muffles what they are saying? And, what about virtual coffees? Do you really need to be drinking coffee? What if you like tea? We’ve taken the kinks out of networking. We have a limited number of places available so please only register if you can attend and be an active participant so you don’t take the place of another alumni. This isn’t a webinar where you sit back and take it all in. An active participant means your webcam is turned on, you’re not driving somewhere, you’ll be in breakout rooms, and you’ll be speaking. Coffee optional.

2020 was a year that upended healthcare as we know it. As the dust begins to settle, it’s important to ask the question that’s on everyone’s minds - what now? How can we build a healthcare ecosystem that meaningfully leverages technology, puts underserved populations first, and reimagines care delivery? How can we build organizations that are better equipped for the future, from nursing homes to hospitals to virtual care? Now that COVID-19 has magnified the gaps in our healthcare system, what insights and patterns from other industries can we leverage to rebuild a system that is truly patient-centric? This conference will explore the changing face of healthcare and cast a vision for what the industry might look like moving forward.
Join us to hear from keynote speaker Sachin Jain, President and CEO of SCAN Group and Health Plan and panelists from organizations including Lyft Health, Pear Therapeutics, Oak Street Health, DaVita, Kindred Healthcare, Urban Institute, and more.
This forum will offer an invaluable opportunity for professionals, academics, students, and alumni to explore the challenging issues that surround the industry as well as network with other healthcare professionals.
Conference will be on Sat, 27-Feb with lead-up events starting Wed, 24-Feb. For more information on keynotes and panelists, please visit our website below!
